In the years 1960 and 1970, most public schools in the United States, music and regular art programs have been as part of their curriculum. Art and music teachers of the school, teachers and children, young workers in day – care receive instruction in music and art.

Every week I will have children singing lessons, to introduce the instruments, and learned from the great composer. Arts Classes included with the media, asWatercolor, charcoal, tempura and colors, and lessons in art history and exhibition of artists over the centuries. The children were with the materials they would need to be made available, and musical instruments were rented to families who do not have their own, for a small fee.

At some point in time around the early 1980's, music and art classes in public schools is over. Budget cuts have been the guilt and schools struggle to find money fortheir programs in art and music will continue in schools. art and music teachers, have not been restored, and the teacher tries to take over. Much of what has been taught them what they have learned is based on the art work and music teachers in recent years. Schools in affluent area could support with their programs might have in large part by donations of time and returns made by their parents who are financially sustainable.

During1990 was a renaissance of music and arts programs through the efforts of the artistic and musical community that has seen the need for this type of instruction in public schools. Films like Goodbye Mr. Holland opened his eyes to the need for these programs by our youth.

What is the music and art programs in schools really help our children learn academic subjects better? The music is associated with mathematics, models, and the function of memory. Artstimulates a part of the brain, to write, has combined expertise. Music and art programs in the academic progress of our children and should be part of the curriculum.
